Lithuanian litasthe official currency of Lithuania. It is subdivided into 100 centy. The international currency code of the Lithuanian litas is LTL.

 

The first Lithuanian litas was introduced in 1922, when Lithuania declared independence and was reintroduced in 1993 replacing the Soviet rubla.

 

Banknotes in circulation have nominal values of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 litai.

 

Coins in circulation are in denominations of  1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 centy, so and of 1, 2 and 5 litai.
